Harold Shaw

...letting student use a play that is videotaped and presented to the class as a way to grade a unit in the history class I co-teach to give a final grade for that unit. Or having a student use speech to text and text to speech capabilities when taking a unit test. It also made me think of having a student use their artistic abilities and draw the answer to a test question instead of writing out the answer.

The possibilities are endless, but it takes so much more time and effort on the part of the teacher to differentiate and teach and assess to the student's strengths instead of the teacher's strengths. But isn't that really why we are here? - Harold
